Google Voice Calls Free For Another Year Between US & Canada

Vincent Paquet, Group Product Manager for Google Voice just came on record on the company blog to announce that our beloved Google Voice will remain free whenever you're making calls between the US and Canada until the end of 2012. According to the post:
As the holiday season approaches, we're happy to announce that we've extended free domestic calls within the US and Canada for 2012. This is our way of helping you connect with friends and family across the country. And you can still call the rest of the world from Gmail at our insanely low rates.

We must admit Google Voice is one of our favorite services out there. It's a result of the acquisition of GrandCentral in 2007 and Gizmo5 in 2009. VoIP capabilities are sadly still limited to the use of GMail, but having the ability to share only one phone number that rings all your other phones can be priceless for some of us out there.
