BlackBerry Screen Protectors

Protecting the screen of your mobile phone can be done with the use of some nicely designed screen protectors. Most cases out there, especially hard cases, silicone and some holsters offer good protection, but only for the sides and the back. Also, pouches offer overall protection, but when you pull the phone out, it gets uncovered and you can easily fill it with fingerprints, smudges and scratch it even.
You can make a combination and get the case you want and also pair it up with a BlackBerry screen protector. These come at very low prices and you can buy them online, or try finding them at your service provider. But keep in mind that BlackBerry phones have screens that measure differently and one screen protector does not match up with all models. You always have to buy the accessories and download software compatible with your specific phone model. BlackBerry screen protectors are available for all phone models and the following examples with prove that.

Especially if you have a touch screen from the company, for instance a Storm, Torch, Bold and so, you have to take good care of it, as the responsiveness of the display depends on how well is taken care of. On popular online retail stores you can find packs with screen protectors, three even, at less than $1, after some considerable discounts. The application process is very easy, because it has a plastic cover on both sides, so remove the plastic side and place it on your screen. Then remove the other plastic side and that is all. if you want a sure fit, you should clean the screen and make sure that there is no hair on it, no dust and no nothing. To avoid air bubbles, you can place your fingers on the screen protector after you applied it and rub the screen. Make sure the application is fit, so you don’t end up with the protector covering the sides more than the actual screen. Take your time, because if you remove it afterwards, the second application might not be as secure as the first one. For BlackBerry Storm you can buy three LCD screen protectors from Eforcity for just around $1. You will receive the products, a reusable screen protector and a lint-free cleaning cloth. Also, these screen protectors eliminate glare and the surface will be tough, transparent and will not affect the touch experienced offered by the Storm. If you desire, you can find those protectors that don’t have the plastic feel, but more a smooth surface. You can try looking for Luxmo to offer such experience. All such products will avoid your screen getting scratched and damaged.

With such great products available online, you will not suffer from the stress of getting your phone scratched anymore. In all conditions, you can provide security for your device and you can have it looking as new for a longer period of time. Don’t forget that your phone is the most used gadget and you need it every day. A BlackBerry phone is not that cheap, so you can’t afford changing it each time it gets damaged. It is best to prevent things and to assure protection.

AT&T Smartphones

Can you imagine your life without a mobile phone? It is so long that these devices have become indispensable for us. Every day they help us communicate; they help us stay in touch with what is happening in the world and more. Since they evolve more and more, you can now see that phones have turned into smartphones. You can benefit of the greatest experience ever and you can have everything you need at the tip of your fingers. Because most of these advanced phones come at a high price, unlocked that is, you can consider signing up with a carrier and choose to pay monthly and on the go for the phone you bought. It is more reasonable and you don’t feel the large sum of money spent out of the sudden. There are various service providers, but perhaps the model of the phone you want is available just at some of them. These said, AT&T smartphones include some of the best phones at this moment.
Samsung Galaxy S II is an improvement over the first Galaxy and that one had a huge success, so this model couldn’t be any better. It brings in discussion a gorgeous display, a super slim design, dual-core processor, excellent camera quality, making it one of the top AT&T smartphones. The display has 4.3”, AMOLED Plus, with a pixel resolution of 800x480, making everything on the screen look gorgeous. This size is just perfect for browsing through Web pages, video and messages, because if larger, it tends to be too wide for general use. The Galaxy S II runs on Android 2.3.4 Gingerbread and uses Samsung’s TouchWiz interface 4.00. There are seven home screens and pull-down notification bar for Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth, screen rotation and flight mode. You can customize the home screen using the setup and you can move to various panels in order to add and remove shortcuts and widgets at the same time. Entertainment options are plentiful when it comes to this phone. You get the excellent picture quality, music and video player and Samsung’s Media Hub, from where you can get movies and TV shows. The camera captures 1080p HD videos, so you can make your own videos as well.

Let’s move on to Apple iPhone 4S, because this device can’t be left out of the discussion. It is definitely an improvement over the iPhone 4, because it brings a faster processor, upgraded camera, voice assistant and data speed does the job right. But many were expecting a larger screen, but it seems that it is not the case. If you were expecting some design modifications, there aren’t any either. Most changes come from the inside and due to iOS 5. Moreover, another top AT&T smartphone is Samsung Infuse 4G, with a large, 4.5” touch screen and a very attractive design. It is lightweight, but you have to get used to the wide display. With the 1.2 GHz processor you get enhanced performance and you will speed up things. For users in a look-out for large mobile phones, with fast performance and thin design, this is the phone for them.

Another Samsung winner is Focus Flash, with a decent price tag, 1.4 GHz processor, two cameras and screen that will provide excellent image quality. This is the opposite of the Infuse, because the screen is smaller, but the speed in performance is fantastic.

[Apps]Evernote for Windows Phone gets major update

Evernote, the note organizer on desktops and mobile devices got a major Windows Phone update. The new version is 2.1 and with the update comes note pinning, language support and more. Pinning notes to the homescreen lets you access notes, notebooks and features quicker. To access pinning, go to Evernote Settings > General > Pin to Start Page. Here you can choose to pin specific new note options, such as a new text note, snapshot note and new audio note. Tapping these options from the home screen will launch them into the note. To pin a notebook or tag, swipe to the relevant screen, then tap the Pin button at the bottom of the screen. On the home screen the tile will include a number showing how many notes are related to the notebook or tag. To pin a note, open the note and tap the dots in the menu and choose Pin this Note.

If you frequently create the same types of notes, rather than putting in identical information every time, Evernote now lets you create a template. Template notes can take a number of different forms. You can create simple text-only templates, or you can make templates that simplify a complex workflow. For example, you can make a template that launches the camera and then attaches the snapshot to a note that contains some pre-filled text, which can be used for capturing business cards and making expense reports. To create a template, make a new note, then tap on the three dots in the menu. Choose “Pin as Template.” You will then be asked to identify the type of template that you wish to create. The resulting template will be pinned to your home screen.

The update also changes text editing in the application. The experience of editing a plain text note is now the same as creating the note. If your note contains rich content, then the experience hasn’t changed - you tap into the specific regions of the note that you wish to edit. This update also adds support for a number of languages, including Japanese, Korean, Brazilian Portuguese, Russian, Chinese (Simplified and Traditional), Dutch and Polish.

Other updates include background syncing where the app will complete a sync when the device is on a Wi-Fi connection, even if the phone is locked, search integration, where if you swipe across on a search result, you will see notes in Evernote related to that search, and social capabilities where you can share a note to Facebook, Twitter and Windows Live.

Dell launches XPS 14z lineup in India

After the XPS 15z, Dell have launched a new, smaller version called the 14z with the same winning formula. They've managed to squeeze in a 14-inch screen into a 13-inch form factor , mostly by reducing the thickness of the bezel. The slim notebook weighs about 1.9kg and features the same anodized aluminum finish. Prices start at Rs.66,900, as it's a premium product and actually makes a good alternative to Ultrabooks.

The 14z comes with Windows 7 Home Premium and is powered by Intel's 2nd- Generation Core i5 and i7 processors. The screen is LED backlit and sports a resolution of 1366x768. Dell is also offering an optional Nvidia graphics card, a GT 520M with 1GB RAM (with Optimus, of course) for those who wish to to a bit of 3D gaming. Other specs are prettty solid as well like 4GB RAM, choice between 500GB or 750GB hard drives, running at 7200rpm, slot loading DVD drive backlit chiclet keyboard and up to 6hrs and 40min of battery life on an 8-cell battery. Connectivity options include USB 3.0 and USB 2.0 ports, HDMI, LAN, mini-DP and microphone and headphone jacks.

Priced in the same vicinity as Lenovo's U300s Ultrabook, the 14z might just give it stiff competition, even though, technically, it belongs to a different category. But that line between slim notebooks and an Ultrabook is quite thin and for someone who dosen't care a about having the thinnest notebook, might be inclined to go fo the 14z, since it's better equipped for the same price.

Televisions may be dead in five years

The idiot box might go away in another five years, says BusinessInsider. A report by Credit Suisse states that it's the youth who aren’t willing to pay for paid cable and satellite TV services will be the reason for the demise of TVs. An estimated 200,000 users in the U.S will not subscribe to cable and DTH service this coming year. TV penetration in the U.S still is pretty high. but there has been a been a drop of roughly one percent, which still makes up for a lot of users. One can take a hint from the use of hard-wired telephones in the U.S, that has taken a massive hit in the past and this trend may follow for televisions as well. It took roughly five years for use of landline telephones to collapse. There’s an estimated 33 percent of users who have a landline in their homes in the U.S. Mobile phones have taken over and very few users continue to actively use their landlines.
The end maybe near, if internet streaming picks up pace

The move away from DTH and cable TV services may come as popularity of internet TV services and media consumption devices, such as tablets and internet streaming devices increases. Here in India, the death of television may not not come in five years, as broadband penetration and adoption of other media streaming boxes is just picking up pace. Currently, broadband charges are still high and the idea of using the internet for streaming media has not taken off yet.
