Even as it continues to build-out its LTE network to more and more markets, AT&T wasted no time in revealing a lineup of LTE-compatible smartphones right at the end of October. One of those first two models was a Samsung Galaxy S II, coming to AT&T as the Skyrocket. A few weeks later, we caught a glimpse of the Skyrocket all decked-out in white, but weren't aware of just what AT&T's plan for the new color option were. The manufacturer has now turned to Facebook to announce the smartphone's availability.
AT&T will begin sales of the white Galaxy S II Skyrocket this Sunday, December 4. The color variant will be sold alongside the original black Skyrocket at the same price: just about $250 on-contract. We've also seen the non-LTE Galaxy S II show up in white for T-Mobile, but haven't learned about those release specifics; sometime before the holidays seems likely. All of this also may seem moot to Galaxy S II users in other countries, where the white versions have already become available; like the phone's original launch, it just seems the US is always going to be playing catch-up with
