Just before Thanksgiving, we looked at a Fujistu Android that had stopped-by the FCC and were very impressed with just how thin the phone was. The Arrows F-07D bottomed-out at 6.7 millimeters thick, and only hit 8.5 millimeters at its thickest. Today we learn of another slim Fujtisu, which appears to be the F-07D hardware but for carrier KDDI instead of NTT DoCoMo, the Fujtsu Arrows ES IS12F. 
Published hardware specs on the Arrows ES IS12F match what we knew of the F-07D, and help flesh-out those areas where we lacked a complete picture of the phone. The IS12F has a 1.4GHz single-core Snapdragon under the hood and features a four-inch WVGA AMOLED display. Despite the phone's slim profile, there's still enough room for a 1,400 mAh battery, along with a five-megapixel camera.
We've had some very thin handsets in the States before, but no smartphone quite like this. As with the F-07D, there are no plans we've seen for a release outside of Japan. We also have to wonder about Fujitsu's hardware choices; while the specs look decent, they're hardly cutting-edge. Could the choice of components represent a best effort for balancing performance with power concerns? If that's the way things are going to be, would you choose a slim design over one with the latest hardware
