At the Nokia Lumia 800 launch event in Russia, the Finnish giant slipped some other piece of news that’s sure to bring joy to many Nokia fans. The company is busy at work on the successor to the popular N8 and say it will be arriving sometime next year. This news comes directly from the companies VP, Eric Bertman. This is isn’t any official announcement from Nokia, but if the VP says it’s coming, it’s coming. He also went on to say that Nokia would be releasing something a lot better than the N8 in 2012. No further details were given or what platform it would be running on, but if we had to hazard a guess, we’d say WP8. If it’s going to be the N8 successor then they will have to up the ante in the camera department. A 12MP was a big jump for Nokia this year, so by 2012, we assume they would shift to something higher, so may be jut fit a bigger sensor with the same megapixel count. You can watch the full interview in the video below. There’s really no telling what ‘ground breaking’ feature will be present in their upcoming flagship phone. Care to speculate on what to expect?
