HTC to launch Zeta with a 2.5GHz quad-core processor

It seems that HTC is gearing up for 2012 with quite a few quad-core processor handsets. A few days ago, we saw the HTC Edge, touted to be the world’s first quad-core handset and rumoured to boast some amazing specifications. It now appears that the specifications of the HTC Edge have been overshadowed by another upcoming handset from HTC, the Zeta. According to an exclusive report by Engadget, the HTC Zeta is rumoured to feature a 2.5GHz APQ8064 CPU, which is much faster than the 1.5GHz quad-core processor supposedly found on the Edge.

Here is a quick look at some of the rumoured specifications of the HTC Zeta:

  • Android Ice Cream Sandwich
  • HTC Sense 4.0 UI
  • 4.5-inch 720p HD display
  • 109.8 x 60.9 x 9.8mm
  • 2.5GHz APQ8064 quad-core processor
  • 32GB Internal storage
  • 1GB RAM
  • 8MP rear camera with dual LED flash that captures 1080p video
  • 1.3MP front-facing cam
  • Bluetooth 4.0
  • Beats Audio
  • 1,830mAh battery

It appears that the source has some pretty solid information regarding these specifications, the only thing that is yet unknown is date of availability and the price. Let us know your thoughts on the HTC Zeta in the comments section below.
