Samsung Galaxy Player 4.0 and 5.0 now available

Announced last month, the Samsung Galaxy Player 4.0 and Samsung Galaxy Player 5.0 have now started retailing. Each of the devices operate on a 1GHz processor and are equipped with almost identical features.
              These latest players to hit the shelves are Bluetooth and Wi-Fi enabled. They come incorporated with 8GB internal memory which can be expanded up to 32GB via the microSD card slots. Powered by Android Gingerbread, the media tablets feature 3.2MP cameras. While the 4.0 tablet runs on a 1,200mAh battery and weighs 127g, the 182g 5.0 version possesses one of 2,500mAh capacity.
Measuring 77.9mm x 139mm x 11.6mm, the Galaxy Player 5.0 offers users video and audio playback time of 8 hours and 60 hours, respectively. The 4.0 version, measuring 64.2mm x 123.6mm x 9.9mm, delivers audio and video playback of up to 5 hours and 36 hours, correspondingly. Both of them give users access to the vast Android Market along with Google functionalities such as Maps, Voice, Talk and Search among many others. Users can always remain connected with the numerous social networking options on offer like Skype, Qik for VOIP calls, Facebook and Twitter.
               The Galaxy Player 4.0 and 5.0 are equipped with 4-inch and 5-inch super clear LCD touchscreen displays featuring resolutions of 800 x 480p. They employ Samsung’s TouchWiz interface and are integrated with Media Hub which presents users with a variety of entertainment options. Moreover, they are capable of supporting various audio and video formats such as AVI, MP4, 3GP, WMV, ASF, MKV, FLV MP3, WMA, Ogg, FLAC, AAC and WAV.
               The Samsung Galaxy Player 4.0 and Samsung Galaxy Player 5.0 are now available at leading retail stores for prices of $229.99 (approx. Rs. 11,300) and $269.99 (approx. Rs. 13,300), respectively.
