Apple claims Samsung's 'reworked tablet' still a copy; court disagrees

Last month, reports about Samsung making desperate attempts to slid out of its legal tangle with Apple in Germany, began doing rounds. Samsung revealed that they had tweaked the frame design of their Galaxy Tab 10.1 tablet, alongwith the speaker placement and the model number from Galaxy Tab 10.1 to Galaxy Tab 10.1 N, to evade the ban.

Alterations save the day..

Now, it has been confirmed that Apple is still unconvinced of the alterations made by Samsung on the Galaxy Tab 10.1, to the point that it claims that it still is a copy of the iPad; the court, however, disagrees. The German court, reportedly rejected Apple's claims. Judge Johanna Brueckner-Hofmann clearly stated that by reworking on the design of their Galaxy Tab 10.1, Samsung has "moved away sufficiently from the legally protected design".

This bit of news is the latest to have transpired between the warring giants.
