Lenovo recently launched three tablets in India and they have been treated with a mixed opinions from reviewers the world over. The brand, at least by the looks of it does not seem to be deterred by a mixed bag of reviews and according to a report by Engadget, an anonymous source has informed them that Lenovo is planning on releasing a 5-inch mini tab. There is not much information regarding the upcoming slate, except for a few leaked images and that it will run on Android, but there is no word as to which firmware of the OS it will have at the time of its inception.
According to the report, the same source has informed the tech website that this mini tab will run on a dual-core processor and will be launched under the LePad brand in China. As for the rest of the world, it will go under Lenovo’s IdeaTab moniker to differentiate it from their IdeaPad range of notebooks. There is no information at present as to what audience this tablet would cater to, but one can assume that it would be enterprise oriented, as Lenovo has already launched the ThinkPad tablet, which is designed for business professionals. Apart from the dual-core processor, the mini tab is said to feature a front facing camera, Micro USB port, as well as an HDMI output. There is no information as now if the tablet can support voice calls or when it will be available.
