New Acer Aspire TimelineX 5830TG

Acer laptops more often than not provide great value for money, as far as comparisons with similar priced laptops are concerned. This is particularly true for notebooks priced around and under the Rs. 40,000 price range. Acer has just launched the Aspire TimelineX 5830TG as a part of their Aspire series.
Reviews for Acer Aspire TimelineX 5830TG have been highly positive with praises heaped on its balance between aesthetic perfection and technical brilliance. The price in India too is competitive. Aspire TimelineX has a 15.6-inch screen with the screen resolution being 1366x768. The glossy screen has contributed to a futuristic and elegant style that is attractive to say the least. With angular edges (reminding you of Lamborghini's high performance cars) and cylindrically designed hinges, the design stands apart from contemporary models. It comes in blue, silver and black matte finish colors. The laptop weighs less than 2.5 kg.

Features
The Acer 5830 comes with an Intel Core i5 processor running at 2.3GHz, which can be turbo-boosted upto 2.9GHz, according to Acer. It runs an NVIDIA GeForce GT 540M graphics card, with up to 2229 MB of TurboCache and comes bundled with Windows 7 Home Premium (64-bit). It comes with a 15.6-inch LCD screen, 3GB DDR3 memory and 640GB hard disk. Acer claims that its Nplify Wi-Fi technology allows users more bandwidth while transferring files via Wi-Fi. It also comes with NVIDIA’s Optimus technology that saves battery life by switching off the power of the GPU when not needed.

According to reviews, using Acer Aspire TimelineX 5830TG for too long on the lap may not be desirable as it tends to heat up. However, you'll be impressed by the design of the keyboard. The elevated palm-rest ensures comfortable typing for long hours, while the keys are flat-surfaced and provide the right balance between a soft and a hard feel.
